Question 1

What is a GraveLink memorial page?

Accepted Answer

It's a permanent web page for someone who has passed: their photos, their story, a life timeline, and a guest book where friends and family can leave messages. It lives at a fixed web address that never changes.

Question 2

How does the QR marker work?

Accepted Answer

We send you a Grade 2 titanium marker engraved with a QR code. You attach it to the headstone or grave surround. Anyone who scans it with a phone camera opens the memorial page, no app needed.

Question 3

Is the QR marker theft-proof?

Accepted Answer

No marker can be guaranteed theft-proof. GraveLink markers are designed to mount flush with strong outdoor adhesive, which makes casual removal difficult. For added peace of mind, place the marker in a discreet, easy-to-scan position and follow cemetery rules.

Question 4

How durable is Grade 2 titanium?

Accepted Answer

Grade 2 titanium is strong, lightweight, and highly resistant to rust and corrosion. It is well suited to outdoor memorial use and changing weather. Like any item exposed outdoors, it may collect dirt and should be cleaned gently when needed.

Question 5

Do cemeteries allow QR markers on headstones?

Accepted Answer

Rules vary by cemetery. Some allow small markers, while others require approval or have placement guidelines. Ask the cemetery office before attaching anything to a headstone, monument, or grave surround.

Question 6

Who can see the memorial and who controls privacy?

Accepted Answer

A memorial can be Public or Hidden. Public memorials can be viewed by anyone with the link and may appear in the memorial directory. Hidden memorials are not publicly listed. The owner controls visibility and can invite family contributors.

Question 7

Is my credit card information safe?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Payments are handled by Stripe, one of the most widely used payment processors in the world. Your card details go directly to Stripe and are never stored on GraveLink. We only keep a record that a purchase happened.

Question 8

How is my account and password protected?

Accepted Answer

Your password is stored in encrypted form and can never be read by us, not even for a password reminder. If you ever forget it, we send a secure reset link to your own email address. Signing in to edit a memorial always requires your account, so no one can change a page just because they scanned the QR code.

Question 9

Is my family's personal information shared with anyone?

Accepted Answer

No. Memorial content, photos, and guest book messages are never sold or used for advertising. Your account email is never shown on a memorial page. Information is used only to run the memorial and fulfill marker orders.

Question 10

What if someone tries to vandalize or spam a memorial page?

Accepted Answer

Guest book messages stay hidden until the person who manages the memorial approves them, so nothing unwanted ever appears. If you ever see something concerning on a memorial, email support@gravelink.co and we will review it promptly.

Question 11

How does the marker attach to the headstone?

Accepted Answer

The marker mounts with outdoor-grade adhesive included with the order. Clean and dry the approved surface, position the marker carefully, and press it firmly in place. Always confirm the cemetery's rules before installation.

Question 12

Is there a subscription?

Accepted Answer

No. GraveLink is a one-time payment and the memorial page is hosted for life. There is also a free tier if you want to start with a simple page.

Question 13

How do you ensure memorials stay online for years to come?

Accepted Answer

A dedicated portion of every purchase is set aside into a preservation reserve. This fund exists solely to cover hosting, photo storage, and domain renewals far into the future, so your loved one's story remains safe and accessible without ever needing a recurring fee.

Question 14

Can I edit the page later?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Sign in any time to add photos, expand the story, or add timeline entries. Changes appear immediately at the same web address, so the QR code keeps working.

Question 15

Who can leave a guest book message?

Accepted Answer

Anyone who visits the page can write a message. Messages stay hidden until the person who manages the memorial approves them, so nothing unwanted appears.

Question 16

Can I keep a memorial private?

Accepted Answer

Yes. A memorial stays a private draft until you publish it. Unpublished memorials are only visible to you.

Question 17

How long does a marker take to arrive?

Accepted Answer

Grade 2 titanium markers are made to order. Production and shipping times vary. Contact support@gravelink.co for the current estimate before ordering. You can publish and share your memorial page while your marker is being prepared.
